Can I have more Business Meetings, Please?

Thanks so much for the support guys, I deeply appreciate it. How do I begin this review? As we all know the Nigerian economy is not friendly; no jobs, high cost of living, etc. Lucky enough for me I try to engage in different things that can be a source of income. A friend and her colleague had a business idea, mentioned it to me and I accepted, her colleague suggested we meet at City View Restaurant to discuss the idea in details.

The restaurant is located at Imperial Bakery Complex, 7 Capetown Street, Off IBB Way, Wuse Zone 4, Abuja. On arrival, discovered that the restaurant cuisines are based off Lebanese, Middle Eastern, and Halal cuisines.  They have both an indoor and outdoor area which both have a wonderful atmosphere, we decided to have the meeting in the indoor area; nice paintings and the ceiling décor was amazing (won’t mind having that in my own house). Mind you, they open 12 noon during the week so if you want to have an early lunch, you may wait a little while for your meal to be ready.

After going through their menu, I requested for jollof rice with boneless chicken, and a bottle of water, can’t remember what the others ordered but I know they looked amazing (couldn’t taste this time around since na meeting now – LOL). The food arrived in good time which allowed us to talk on the meeting agenda, and after the food arrived we still were able to discuss over the meal. Have to say that the food was really good, my meal came with some vegetables (which helped balance the diet), the chicken was certainly boneless and well cooked, and the rice wasn’t Lebanese but a mixture of African and Lebanese.  Service was great from arriving at the restaurant till we left; the waiters were attentive and polite.

Their prices are quite reasonable for Abuja standard. I’m definitely going to come back, and I’m so going to recommend my next business meeting there (just kidding). On the other hand, I think it would be great if their waiters updated customers on the status of their meals especially when it takes quite a while to be served or better still, tell the customers how long the meal they want to order will take to be prepared. Another customer wasn’t really pleased when his order was taking so long to be served and others that came after him were getting their orders in time (to the best of my knowledge, I would say maybe it sometimes depends on what is ordered, that will determine the preparation time) Regardless of that, it’s time to give my personal review of the restaurant:

Ambience:           7/10
Service:               6.5/10
Price:                   7/10
Food:                   8/10

  1. Yup can be annoying when one has to wait too long. Especially without an idea of how long.
    Good job here 👌🏾

  2. Like you rightly said, customers should be updated about the meal. They can also keep your mouth busy with ice tea or lemon water and for longer throat like me, they can use cashew nuts to console me.

  3. Based on your experience shared, your observation is ok and appropriate, but my question is the time they open, for me its a bit late, that's all
